The absence of it

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to ...his Class on the Problem Science has
with GOD, the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .
...
Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor: Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor: Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor: My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.
But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?
(Student was silent )
Professor: You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is GOD Good?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor: Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . . . GOD . . .
Professor: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this World?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor: So who created evil ?
(Student did not answer)
Professor: Is there Sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, who Created them ?
(Student had no answer)
Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you.
Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor: Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD?
Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor: Yet you still Believe in HIM?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol,
Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor: Yes,Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn't.
(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events )
Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don't have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.
(There was Pin-Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )
Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir.
Darkness is the Absence of Something
You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called Darkness, isn't it?
In reality, Darkness isn't.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going )
Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor,
Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?
(The Class was in Uproar )
Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain?
(The Class broke out into Laughter )
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol,
Science says that You have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?
(The Room was Silent. The Professor stared at the Student, his face unfathomable)
Professor: I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir . . . Exactly !
The Link between Man & GOD is FAITH.
That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving.
*************************************************
I believe you have enjoyed the conversation, and if so,
you'll probably want your friends/colleagues to enjoy the same. Won't you?
Forward them to increase their knowledge, or FAITH.
That student was Albert Einstein. :)

For Mother with Love~

Yesterdays was my mother's birthday, she called me up and

she said:        "hey~~ It is my birthday and you didn't call me"
David:           "mum~... of course I know it is your birthday,I didn't call because you are still working"
She said:       "Anyway~ did you bake a cake for me??
David:           "Of course~~ I did" (very sarcastically) [But in reality I haven't even bake it]

Scene 1 -When at restaurant, after showing her the cake-

Mother:         "Waa... soo nice ah?
David:           " Of cuz la~ You my mother and I make my best for ya"
Mother:         *Smile :-)

My September 2011, hairstyle

PS: My mother love my cake not my hairstyle :-(

I was thinking it is my assignment due tomorrow and I haven't complete it yet :(
and I am out of ideas what to bake, have to shop, have to clean, do this, do that.

and I thought to myself, "HEY DAVID! SHE IS YOUR MOTHER FOR GOODNESS SAKE"
haha so.. I drag myself to grocery in yesterday Sunday afternoon, bought some grocery, while thinking
what to bake. In the mean time, i recall my sister Angeline asked me try to bake this particular cake, called "Red Velvet Cake" sound like a flower flavor cake to me, I actually thought it is; It is also know as "Devil Food Cake" wow~~ sound deadly yet yummy. Sinful taste :P yum yum~~

Anyway, long story short, I spend my night baking this newly learned recipe, and give it a go. Pouring all my sweat into this cake, baking it, study it. PROTECTING IT haha..
I have felt a bit jumpy, fear of anything might destroy the cake. I actually called a taxi to pick me up to the restaurant, that is a money i will to pay for security of transporting my cake to my mother safety, when arrived at restaurant, i didn't even allow the waiter to touch it, i have bring the cake myself with the stairs haha.

The Cake, I actually have a stress while making it, neglecting my gym time and risking my assignment, few hours before it due. Decorating cake was not an easy task, I actually shouting help from my friend Valerie(Taiwanese, artist, besties), I taught her how to cook, usually she show me how to decorate with her creativity. Anyway.. I destroyed the first design in my mind, without enough cream and cake's left over bits. I glad i didn't give up and still thinking nothing and let holy spirit guide haha. THank God :)

My first design is, only red and white. But I ended up using chocolate to cover the ugly spot but it turns out beautiful :)

Haha as usual I woke up late afternoon, I almost missed my Joy-flight from Ross but it was raining anyway..
Had my afternoon walk on the main street where I met Robbie in the middle and she wished me and we talked for a moment and she is lovey person.

I got many wishes in facebook, Alex is a friend of my in this town. Asked me to her places at her and Jj Bookshop for a slices of cakes she baked," Apricot Cake" wow it was delicious ^^ while having a chat with JJ. I really respect JJ and Alex a lot; they are amazing people around and very knowledgeable and understanding. We chatted about Apricot seed and such(I will write it again, really worth knowing them)

And also my birthday of 23th; as usual I still have to work. It was quite busy and complicated that night, mostly everyone is in the bad mood; well i was yelled at and piss but I try to stay calm and think positive and never lets the grudge happens. Oh ya.. I had one of the best dinner; crayfish and abalone hehe.. we all work very hard that night. So we got to go PUD that night haha.
The pud had this 70's or 80's party, and everyone wearing so groovy. It was loud and fun.. I love this better than clubbing i had before. This is the music we familiar with; well hey? I borned in 80's haha.. And my friend Shane a.k.a Buddha got me a drink which i no idea what is that; well It is my birthday so I just drink it up in one shot haha.It is really hard to drink, after that I keep feeling the heat from my body.. Man am I turning hot? haha.. It is really fun, the music of 80's and people just get crazy, but never in a wrong way haha.

Well that was my night. I also got too many wishes in facebook took me 1 hours to reply them all; I love all my friends and family. They just awesome. I remember a few wishes I wanna keep in my heart and few funny one as well, especially from my junior in school, he was like " happy bd.. Keep up the good works and will never know one day you turn up the cover of a magazine showing your body haha" haha that good one, got me right there.

The best gift this year? A tiger-moth flight by Ross for free :)

Happy Birthday to myself David, 23 years that I have born into this world. How I wish the number stop haha but 23 years of life experience. Birthday is just a date to be remember how your progress going, and I going keep at it better and better each year :)

Robe Kayaking with buddies

I always wanna try kayaking for quite sometimes, when I was young I can only use imagination from the television i seen before. I saw the ads at Foodland(market) and I was attracted to this ads, it is KAYAKING!
but it took me 1 month to call haha, was very busy until this day.

The day was sunny and beautiful to kayak. I call the lady at the phone and make a appointment on Tuesday but was bad weather and disappointed again but NEXT DAY!! I rented one single sit for myself and 2 double for others (Ken,Mili, Ivy and Wei). We was asked to wear life-jacket but It was so funny; The shape of it will turn me into Ninja-turtle when I got a tanned haha. When first paddle out to the sea, we got excited and I almost lost my balance.

After 5 minutes, I can feel bicep and triceps is stretching haha. It is really nice to kayak! I can't believe I spend my 22 years not kayaking. I felt in love with it, I really desperately wanted one! Robe is really a beautiful places. I might spend my whole life here :)

See me again in kayaking :) Because I decided to buy one soon
